MATTIA SUGAMIELE

(Erice, Italia, 1984)
Mattia Sugamiele focuses on themes related to the relationship with technology, in particular he is interested in our new connected, hybrid and dual lives between the digital and real worlds. In the artist’s works, the brightly coloured tones are layered, the shapes mimic the colouring of clods and water surfaces, becoming a fluid mosaic between digitally painted elements and airbrushed physical painting. These stratifications invite us to reflect on the dualism between real and virtual, which is becoming increasingly important in the contemporary world, and on our relationship with technology.
