Galleria Paola Verrengia was founded in Salerno (Italy) in 1993.
Since then it has worked exclusively in the field of international contemporary art and is chiefly dedicated to paintings, photography, installation and video. Its program is based on the exchange of ideas, concepts and artistic expressions. Together with the promotion of estabilished artist the gallery also support young artist. The gallery has collaborated with some of the greatest Italian and International artist such as: Alighiero Boetti, Mrdjan Bajic, Agostino Bonalumi, Oleg Dou, Piero Gilardi, Pino Pinelli, Claudia Rogge, Amparo Sard, Gioacchino Pontrelli, etc. In the second half of the years 2000 the Gallery marking the start of a new exhibition program and the renewal of its fields of research. Increasingly oriented towards young emerging art and experimental languages, the gallery has implemented new collaborations with foreign artists and intensified its presence on the international market, taking part in numerous art fairs in Italy and abroad.
In 2021, after the pandemic, reflecting on other possible ways of using contemporary art, The Paola Verrengia Gallery has momentarily left his Gallery in Via Fieravecchia to create an outdoor event “Art on Video” allowing its audience to meet again safely. The selected artists (AES+F, Salvatore Arancio, Masbedo, Adrian Paci etc.) are some of the best artists in the art scene who work with video.
