Galleria Paola Verrengia is glad to present the exhibition “Dissolvenze” by Peter Willburger (1942-1998), curated by Antonello Tolve, to celebrate the artist’s 80th birthday.
The exhibition will display artworks carried out between 1979 and 1998, in which the main theme is landscape.
The exhibition displays an itinerary that narrates the bold style of Peter Willburger, through which the artist gave birth to wonderful artworks: etching, aquatint, and drypoint are just a part of the “linguistic tools” that the artist used.
Trefflepunkte (1979) and Metamorphose (1979), Atmosfera (1980), Vier Jahreszeiten and Sogno (1980), Wolkenbildung (1981), Tageszeiten (1983), Herbsztein (1983), Jahreszeiten (1983), Fenster (1983-1986), Küste and Küstenfigur (June, August, December of 1994) and Verso e Viceversa of 1998 (from the collection I Profili, 1996-1998): those are the artworks that compose our narration.
On the 30th of June, specifically for the exhibition, a Talk will take place in the courtyard of the Pinacoteca di Salerno with Antonello Tolve, Elmar Zorn, and Stefania Zuliani, to remember the artist 80 years.
The exhibition came to life thanks to the cooperation with L’Arte di Peter Willburger association.
